Mission
The purpose of the Foundation for Health Enhancement is to improve care in the United States by the development of science of delivery of all kinds of health care, including medical, surgical, dental, nursing, health education, and other curative and preventive health services.
The Foundation places special emphasis on:
- Preventive health services
- Smaller qualifying applicants in an area geographically proximate to Chicago and/or the Midwest
- Service organization as opposed to research organizations; and
- Programs that are innovative and oriented towards providing health services to the underserved
Guidelines
The Foundation for Heath Enhancement has biannual deadlines of April 1 and September 1.
In general, applicants will be notified of grant decisions 3 to 4 months after proposal submission.
The majority of grants from the Foundation for Heath Enhancement are 1 year in duration.
The Foundation does not provide funds to organization’s seeking general operating support.
The Foundation typically distributes grants within the range of $5,000-$15,000.
